January 11, 2006 11 Tevet, 5766 Dear Praying Friends, We have some further thoughts relating to our Prime Minister’s condition we’d like to pass along that might be of help in directing our prayers. Leaders direct and/or reflect what goes on in a nation. In prayer this morning we were led to consider Ariel Sharon’s state from a prophetic perspective, meaning that we should consider him as a sign of and to the nation. What turned us to think in this direction was the fact that thy doctors are beginning to wake him up. I thought...we are asleep and desperately needing to be awakened...spiritually. Ariel the lion has been stricken. If by God’s grace he is physically restored, he will no doubt bear a mark of having been touched by the Hand of God in a similar manner as did our father Jacob. Before Jacob could fulfill his destiny as Israel (“prince with God”), his natural strength had to be removed. To be a priest and a prince before God can not be accomplished by the wisdom or strength of men. We all know well that the ways of our flesh and this world die hard. As it was with Jacob, as it was with Nebuchadnezzar, may it be with Prime Minister Sharon, and will it be with the nation of Israel. God is able and knows how to humble all those that walk in pride. This statement from Daniel 4:37 is neither threat nor warning. It is a glorious assurance that the cause of our stumbling is no problem for our Heavenly Father. So, let us pray that the sleeping lion would awake. Let us pray that the Lion of Judah would be seen in the midst of Israel. Let us pray for the multiplied thousands of Israelis that have dwelt their whole lives under the cloud of the world’s deception. Let us pray that they would awake and arise. Surely surely, surely, all throughout the Land there are many such sleeping lions, both young and old. I can sense the presence of a remnant that have already had their pride stuck down by the Hand of the Lord and are ready to be brought through to reality with a new name. We do not see the thoughts here as dependent on how things go for the Prime Minister. A sign has been released in the Land. Whether the time for this great awakening is right now or in the future, it will come. If this is in fact a prophetic kairos moment, may we not miss the opportunity to advance the Kingdom of God in the people of Israel. Would you pray with us?
