October 2, 2007 20 Tishrei, 5768 Dear Praying Friends,
This letter is completely devoted to matters in need of prayer.
Michael, who carries the weight of administrating the Israel side of Emmaus Way, with his wife Michal, are in a furnace that is being stoked from several sides. As with so many right now, the Lord has stretched them out beyond even the remembrance of a comfort zone. They are in need of strength, grace, and Divine wisdom. Pray that they will be able to see the Lord in the midst of the fire.

Cheryl (our U.S. administrator) and her husband Rick (both close friends) have been in an extended time of transition. They are seasoned soldiers with a clear vision of the Lord’s heart for Israel. Please pray for the appointed open door to manifest and that the wind of the Spirit would rise and carry them through to the next other side.

Hannah, our German administrator and translator, is very much on the front line of an intense battle. Her stance for Israel and the new thing God is doing has drawn a lot of fire from the enemy. She is a deeply sensitive person and a gifted translator. Hers is a very important part of our connection with the Body in Germany. Please pray for her physical strength and healing and a shield of grace and faith to extinguish the fiery darts.

Our newest partners, David and Katya, continue to fill many and varied gaps with grace, love, and wisdom. Though David has given himself to serve in the practical arena, his pastoral and teaching gifts are proving to be an even greater blessing. Please pray with us for a young, strong, long-term male volunteer, to free David up to function more in the spiritual arena.

By the end of the month, one very special Rachel from England will be joining us to oversee the comings and goings of our guests. She is presently in the process of closing up her affairs and packing her things. Please pray for all things to flow smoothly and in the prefect timing of the Lord. Also please pray for her 80+-year-old mother who is recovering well from some physical challenges.

There is one more person whose part we appreciate very much. Peter was our first German administrator and translator. He is one of the worship leaders at TOS Ministries in Tubingen and continues to administrate the flow of finances in Germany. Please pray with us for blessing on his family and the business in which God has set him.

In our last letter we wrote of our need for more of our friends to partner with us financially. Would you please continue to pray with us for this need?

For several years we have been waiting for the Lord to release to the Body in Germany the word He spoke calling forth a national youth prayer movement for the spiritual awakening of the youth in Israel. Well, it seems to be launch time. In the next few days a letter which arni wrote will be sent to the participants of the Watchman’s Call prayer network, which reaches all throughout Germany. The letter calls for the establishment of this movement. We are blessed to see a team forming to bring this exciting vision to life, as God has spoken this same word to various leaders in Germany. On Friday, October 5th, I (arni) will leave for three weeks in Germany. On Saturday the 6th I will present a two-hour seminar for between 50-200 youth hosted by BGG in Stuttgart. From the 19th-21st I am participating in an International missions conference. From the 26th-29th I’ll be ministering at a youth church retreat. Both these events are in the vicinity around Hof. I return home on the 30th. Essentially from the 7th – 18th there are as of yet no definite plans. There are a number of possibilities, but nothing set. We have prayed and felt to step out in faith and trust the Lord to arrange and direct the time. We covet your prayers for His purposes to be accomplished and the right connections to be made.
