Dear Praying Friends,

In our last letter we included a special link to the page of our web site relating to our current financial needs.  Since then a couple of things have happened which we want to put before you for your information and prayers.

On Shabbat morning, David (who lives and works here with us) was strongly urged to come by to check on us.  (It is uncharacteristic for him to just stop over early on Shabbat morning, but because the urge was so strong, he did it).  As he came down the steps to the ministry house, he saw a 2”-diameter snake stretched out across the path.  It was positioned in such a way that had the head not been lifted up he might not have noticed it.

Last week a handful of people notified us that they sent checks to our post office box in Cedar Rapids and had them returned with a note saying that the box had been closed.  We later found out that for no apparent reason the post office just “messed up” and corrected it within two days, before we knew that it had happened.

We think the Lord allowed both these things to happen in the same time frame to highlight something important.

The fact that the Lord brought David at the moment the snake was visible and blocking the way to the Center reinforces our belief that the lack in our monthly income is the result of a purposeful spiritual attack.

I think we need to realize that this matter is really about more than finances.  If the enemy is in fact involved here, his goal is not just that we would struggle to pay our bills.  His goal is to hinder the work, plans, and desires of the Lord.  I am sure that his activities go beyond the financial arena.  He diligently works to isolate us from one another.  Though it is universally true that we are a body and need each other, where Israel is concerned this is a far more delicate and crucial matter, as we are few and prime targets of the demonic kingdom. 

Please continue to pray with us for the exposure and removal of everything blocking the way and stopping the flow of God’s already appointed provision…of every kind.
